Thanksgiving was THE CRAZIEST TIME I have experienced. John and I settled on the house Tuesday evening. Wednesday after work and Thursday morning we were moving things over and painting until we had to head over to my mom’s for thanksgiving. Originally we were going to visit John’s parents but I ended up having to work and we had all the house stuff so it got nixed. Original plan was to work on the house but my mom nixed that. Evidently presence is required at all holidays. Funny my sister wasn’t required! So worked my tail off Friday and Saturday at work then work on the house. Officially moved everything today and it was cool to celebrate our 4th anniversary together (12-07-09) in our new home!

Parks, a citys' oasis

If you live in "the Burbs" then you are used to greenery all around you. But if you like the hustle and bustle of city living, the need for green is still there. I got to experience the wonders of Central Park! First of all, the landscaping is absolutely gorgeous. Frederick Law Olmsted was a genius! And hey, what's a good park without a good fountain, that is one thing I feel Baltimore is lacking.
I also visited the portion "Strawberry Fields" a 2.5-acre tear-drop-shaped parcel of park, is dedicated to the memory of John Lennon. At the center lies the famous Imagine mosaic, donated by the city of Naples.

Roses Smell SOOOOOO Good!
One Perfect Rose
By Dorothy Parker
A single flow'r he sent me, since we met.
All tenderly his messenger he chose;
Deep-hearted, pure, with scented dew still wet—
One perfect rose.
I knew the language of the floweret;
“My fragile leaves,” it said, “his heart enclose.”
Love long has taken for his amulet
One perfect rose.
Why is it no one ever sent me yet
One perfect limousine, do you suppose?
Ah no, it’s always just my luck to get
One perfect rose.

Hampton Mansion - National History in your own backyard!

Hampton Mansion's driveway was originally in Baltimore city as Towson was all wilderness and it took a whole day to get there. People had to be mindful of the wolves! Men changed their names to inherit the property at times since women could not received property.
Changes are coming so check out this National Historic Site located in your area!

Martin State Airport

I visited Martin State Airport and museum with the Baltimore Photography Meetup Group. We had great weather and a good time. Our tour guide was enthusiastic about the history of the airport.
