Nelson County Wayside

I really don't mind the 5 1/2 hour drive to visit relatives in Virginia because I get to see such beautiful countryside along the way. One place we always stop is the Nelson County Wayside, which is still a sight in the barren winter months.

It's Just Not Christmas Without Hampden's Lights!

Commonly called "Miracle on 34th Street" becuase every house on the 700 block of 34th Street in Hampden (between Keswick Road and Chestnut Street) goes all out for the holidays! Covers are covered top to bottom with lights and strung from rooftops across the street. Plus you'll find inflatable snow globes, hub cab trees, and more.

Adobt a pet from the SPCA!

Today J and I brought home a kitten from the SPCA. Her name is Frosty and as soon as we walked out, it started to snow!

I love New York!

Took a day trip to New York with some friends and had a great tour of the city by boat.
